What we collect
When you use our quiz, contact forms, or Ave, we collect your answers, the contact details you choose to share, and your chat messages. Ave uses those messages to build a profile of the situation you describe.
- Your quiz answers. These are details about your situation, such as your job, family, goals, and where you are now.
- Your contact details. Things like your name, email, and the language you prefer, so we can reach you.
Why we collect it
We use this information to understand your situation, explain visa options, and let a licensed expert contact you about your case. That is the main reason we ask. We may also use it to improve our service and to answer your questions. Ave sends your messages, optional attached files, and relevant profile information to OpenAI to generate replies and organize your profile. We save the conversation and profile in our systems; recent chat history is also saved in your browser so you can continue the conversation. You can optionally attach a PDF, Word document, or image to explain your background. We process the original file for that request and do not save its contents as a file in our database or browser storage. We save its filename, type, size, and a short AI-generated summary with your session; relevant details may also appear in replies and your profile. Ave uses saved summaries for later questions, so you may need to attach the file again for details that were not retained. Files are processed by OpenAI under its API data policies. Remove identity numbers, passwords, account details, and information about other people that you do not need to share before attaching a file. Uploading a file does not give permission for specialist contact.
How specialist follow-up works
If you agree to specialist follow-up, we may share your contact details, case profile, and relevant conversation with Open staff or an independent visa professional. Professional partners can pay Open to receive your enquiry and contact you about your case. You can choose your contact channel or decline follow-up and keep using Ave for general information.
How to delete your data
You are in control. If you want us to delete your information, just email us at hello@openusvisa.com and we will take care of it. You can also ask us what we hold about you.
